Call for (ISC)² London Chapter Representatives!
We are seeking (ISC)2 London Chapter members to join us at the (ISC)2 stand at InfoSec Europe. InfoSec Europe is scheduled for 20-22 June 2023 at ExCel, London. There will be (ISC)2 staff on the stand throughout the event, and it would be great to have Chapter representatives at the stand for 1 or 2 hours a day (welcome to stay longer).

Call for (ISC)² SECURE London Speakers Now Open!
Following its successful launch last year, (ISC)² SECURE London will reconvene in person on 21 September 2023 to explore the latest current issues impacting cybersecurity. Professionals involved in every aspect of cyber, information, software, IT and infrastructure security will engage in a full day of new learning and partnership opportunities with their peers and industry vendors.
We are looking for speaker submissions to accommodate all levels. Do you and your colleagues have a compelling experience, innovation or point of view to share?
Submit your proposals on one or more topic areas for consideration. From expert advice to industry insights, presentations that speak to the interests of our professional audience are encouraged.

(ISC)2 London Chapter is sharing details of various programs of work to our members for volunteer opportunities. These programme of projects are being initiated to help transform the Cyber Community Safety of London.
Planning is under way for overlapping projects to create a Cyber Resilience Centre for London and a Cybersecurity Sector Careers Partnership . Both are likely to be publicly announced in September but they both need serious innovation and resourcing in order to succeed in meeting expectations.

It was quickly apparent that the expectations of a CISO are vast, and the role varied between organisations. Tim Holman’s (2|Sec) presentation questioned the skills and qualifications that were truly required for a CISO role. In conclusion the CISO role was more of an advisory role across the different business units without necessarily ownership of the business function.
