2018 has fled by and this week saw the (ISC)² annual security summit take place at KIA Oval cricket ground on 19th and 20th September.
This is a much anticipated event where (ISC)² members get together and are not only treated to an amazing line-up of speakers and interactive workshops but have the opportunity to meet old friends and to make new ones.
For the (ISC)² London Chapter this was a particularly exciting event as it was the first time we had had the opportunity to have a strong and active chapter presence from its officers and members, outside our own chapter meetings since our official inauguration back in February!
We made the most of it, having a table where over the two days we gained more than 30 new members! Many others came over to introduce themselves and to chat about our initiatives and in addition the chapter President not only provided an official update to a full house on the first day but he and another officer took part in a panel discussion around the opportunities and challenges facing the industry as a whole, what careers are available to individuals within and outside the profession and how to attain one of them.
This is the (ISC)² London Chapters current focus and key on-going initiative around education and awareness where we are looking to provide a concrete, attainable, sustainable roadmap working with partners and built up alliances to help both the profession but also those in the wider communities
If you (or anyone you know of) are interested in being part of a tangible exciting journey then please do get in contact with us and we look forward to hearing from you soon!
