Speaker Profile 1 – Graham Cooke

Title: Web3 & AI: The Twin Titans Redefining Financial Cybersecurity

Graham Cooke bio:

The Author of Web3: The End of Business as Usual, entrepreneur and FTSE100 Non Executive Director GC Cooke has been developing internet-based products for the last 20 years. After studying Politics and Economics at Newcastle University, he joined Google in 2005 as one of the earliest European employees working on the Google Ad Platform and Google Analytics.

After Google, he founded Qubit, a leading SaaS company in the e-commerce space, providing AI personalized shopping recommendations to over one billion users per month across more than 300 leading brands such as Louis Vuitton, Estée Lauder and TK Maxx. He sold Qubit to Coveo Solutions in 2021 shortly before going public on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) and remains a strategic advisor at Coveo. He is also a non-executive director of ITV plc where he supports ITV with their digital strategy.

GC Cooke is currently focused on a number of web3 projects in music publishing, real-time blockchain data mining and crypto asset management.

Title: Understanding 168 CISOs view on their culture and where they are getting their talent from.

Short Synopsis: Through this interactive session we will be exploring the results from the 2023 ClubCISO survey. Bringing to life the views from the CISOs that have responded focussing on culture and talent recruitment and retention. Not only will this session be used to bring to life the results from the ClubCISO survey but we will be making it interactive to ensure that we hear your thoughts and views.

Speaker Profile 3 – Omar Saenz, Security Specialist, Cybernetics Futurist, Google, CISSP

Presentation title: The Future of AI: A Cybernetic Perspective

Short Synopsis: Cybernetics is a transdisciplinary approach to the study of systems, with a focus on how systems control themselves and interact with their environment. This perspective can be helpful in understanding the challenges and opportunities of AI, as well as how to develop AI systems that are secure, ethical, and beneficial. In this session, we will discuss the role of cybernetics in the development and evolution of AI. We will then explore the risks and opportunities of AI-based systems and applications and current trends. Finally, we will discuss techniques to develop safe and ethical AI and explore the future of AI from a cybernetic point of view.

Presenter bio: Omar is a cybernetics engineer and cloud security specialist at Google with over 20 years of experience in helping organisations design and build secure solutions. He has a deep understanding of security risks and threats, and he is passionate about using technology to improve security.

Omar has worked in a variety of security roles, including security research and pen testing, security operations, security architect, and security leadership. He has held senior security positions at Deloitte, KPMG, HSBC, OneWeb, and GFT.

Omar is also an active member of the security community. He is a founding member and Membership Chair of the ISC(2) London Chapter, and he has spoken at several security conferences and events. He is also a frequent contributor to security blogs and articles.
